Bay House Artisans in Alexandria Bay, NY
You'll be able to purchase my work or at least see it at Bay House Artisans on James Street in my hometown Alexandria Bay, NY. I am currently making a few pieces with a North Country vibe. Don't worry, they'll still have my same weird feel they'll just have more Boldt Castle and river things involved. So if you're in Northern New York this summer stop by Bay House and visit my kids and look for me trotting around with a big goofy grin. (what else is new)

Rainy Day Project
I got a GREAT dumpster dive. A neighbor was throwing away these shutters so I cleaned them up and put them behind our bed. My night stands were deep chocolate brown and they clashed with the lighter decor. So I spray painted them white, and then poured burnt umber and silver acrylic onto a paper plate, took a chip brush and a soppy wet kitchen sponge dipped it into the paint and began "washing" the color onto the surface of the stands. I like them much better.

Can You Help A Small Business and Dear Friend?
If you enjoy browsing my Etsy shop or blog you can partly thank Betty Wilson owner of The Craft Gallery in West Palm Beach. Betty has been doing loads of firings for me. I also buy my clay, glazes and everything else ceramic from her. If you need something and can't find it; ask Betty.
Dirty rotten robbers broke into her gallery and stole everything from her computer to cash register. They broke windows and really trashed the place in their hunt for anything of value.
If you would like to help a small business owner get back on her feet please visit Go Fund Me to donate even a small amount. I love you Betty.

New Studio Piece: Hamilton Type Cabinet
It's a good thing yesterday was Mother's Day because I have a new baby in the studio: A Hamilton Type cabinet. We drove to Orlando to get her and for the past week I have been filling it with all of the type I've had stashed in cigar boxes. I love it in the studio, it's inspiring me to organize.

Another Furry Guest watching me work
Do you ever get the feeling you're being watched? We were working
outside yesterday and I looked over to my neighbor's house. I saw this
little face poking out of their attic vent, then a paw, then a very hot
and sleepy looking raccoon pops out.
I'd say he was roasting up there in the Florida heat and came out for a bit of fresh air.
I'll take squirrels on my fence over this guy in my attic any day!

My Peanut Pal
I know they've got a bad reputation as bullies, but I enjoy supplying peanuts to this little gray squirrel just outside my studio window.
and off she goes. The best part is when she stares in the window at me wanting more.
